I have a hi-point 9mm carbine. It is accurate and reliable but most of all a ton of fun!

Since I had to sell all my pistols in 9mm this has been very informative reading.  I think it will probably be my next purchase so I can use all the 9mm reloads I have and use all the powder and primers that are just setting in the workshop.  I hear the Marlin is kinda hard to clean but am looking at the Ruger PC9 and if I can find a good price on one I will pick it up.  Anyone know of a good price somewhere as they are no longer made. Sure wish CZ had something like this.

Had a customer that ordered the finnish suomi md 31 9mm  with 2 stick mags and the 71 round drum,he also ordered the Polish PPSC 43 semi auto pistol in 7.62x25 mm. The suomi is very heavy but was decently accurate and fed flawlessly-great fun to shoot. The polish PPSC 43 pistol went full auto on the first clip blast to shoot ,but alas it was imediatly returned the the supplier. I agrre with the others 9mm carbine is alot of fun to shoot and could be useful for self defense. If I was buying one it would most likely be the KEL-TEC light weight folds up and use common mags -glock,beretta,etc. Or one in an Ar platform such as the bushmaster carbon fiber or the JR rifle, reasonably priced and lightweight,a familiar platform.

you have to do your own homework on this.  they come up f/s from time to time.  afa price goes, the market and demand will dictate what they go for.  i was lucky to find a LN version with the ghost rings a few years ago.  didnt drag my feet around either.  you snooze, you loose.

look at the gun auction/selling sites if you really want one.

I am looking as we speak.  I guess the best way is to look each morning on the sites to find a good deal.  Once they are posted they seem to go pretty quickly though.  Thanks for the advice.   ;D

I hear the Marlin is kinda hard to clean

Not at all!  Very simple really.  I cleaned mine yesterday, as this thread sort of reminded me it was due for a Cleaning & Re-Lube.  Actually, I've no qualms about shooting it because it is so simple to clean.  As I'm working up a new handload, the Marlin will come in very handy.  I test my loads in both Handgun and Carbine whenever possible.
