There are several options, one being a fanny pack, which, of course, screams "GUN!" to anyone who knows, the purse carry, which means your only meansof protection can be snagged away from you faaaaast, or lost/compromised when the purse is set down. Little fingers can explore, so this would be a very bad idea anywhere there are/could be small children.
Eric at HBE Specialty Leatherworks could build a custom rig for you, which I reccomend. Also, some companies, like Galco, offer rigs specifically for women, although Galco offers little but holster purses and belt slides for the Compact. Try High Noon Holsters, too. Finding the perfect rig is the hardest part!

Yes, you are right, it is the hardest part. It's very personal, really.

I did look at Galco and nothing stood out at me, I ended up going with comp tec. I think I'm more worried than I should be, but you never know. :-)

Does this gentleman Eric have a phone number or e-mail address or website or some way I could contact him? If the minitar doesn't work out, I may just look into a custom holster.

Fanny pack's do tend to scream gun. I'm not a fan of the purse carry because of the obvious "don't arm your aggressor" type of gig. I'm rarely around children, but it is a concern.

 Krystalzip, I agree that finding a rig is the hard part. My husband does know what he is talking about. He got me lots of holsters before we found the right one.  The website address your looking for is HBE Speciality Leather works.
