I have a pair of them, both stock.  One sits under the bed, the other resides in the bug-out bag with insurance policies, etc.  I live in Florida, and from June 1 to November 30 one never knows when the call will come.  These are the only two CZ pistols I still have, after once owning several 75Bs in 9mm and .40.  All-steel pistols just got a little too heavy for skinny old arms, but these 40bs don't get given up easily.  Super design.

I have one close at hand when I am home, within arm's reach when I sit in my favorite chair. As a primarily 1911 guy, the 40B is a nice companion piece. This is my third CZ and right now my only one. I have owned a 40P and a 97B in the past.
 The 97 went to a friend who needed a good first pistol. That was a little large for CCW so I let it go knowing it was going to a good home.
 The 40P was a nice gun too, but I prefer the cocked and locked option to a decocker(that 1911 thing  ;D). One day when I'm rich & famous I'll add a CZ75 to the collection. I've always wanted one of those.

You won't go wrong if you do.  May I suggest you get one in .40, though.  A little extra oomph never hurt anyone . . . well, maybe that didn't come across the way I intended it to, but you know what I mean.  Besides, the ambidextrous safeties are nice.

just bought a CZ 40 serial # 12xxx.   enduring the 7 day waiting period in MD (actually more like a 8 to 14 day wait for the state police to catch up on their paperwork).   can't wait to bring her home and to the range.

I was incorrect.  The invoice shows serial # A2xxx,  not 12xxx as I apparantly remembered incorrectly.

welcome!  wish I had another 40B!    check out Omega grips,  and Hakan Pek grips..   they can fit your need nicely.    Me just finishing some metal work/changes and then will Cerakote mine.   Plus will add a few more CGW parts!     mine shoots snake eyes and same hole @ 8yds when I do my part.

you can always PM me if you have questions.   Again,  wish I had another!

Thank you handgun2 I appreciate the insight. I'm having trouble getting in touch with haken and omega. I wish I could find the coco bolo grips with the CZ logo on them like I have on my 75bd police and p-01.

When I received my CZ40b it had a SS guide rod and a "braided" recoil spring.  Are these aftermarket parts?  Or original?
