trigger replacement
« on: September 22, 2008, 03:22:47 PM »
Hi All,

I just got back from the range and again, I'm really impressed with this gun. ;D  I did the trigger pull mode with a little light sanding and it helped a little.  I seem to do better when I rapid fire instead of slow fire.  Now for the next problem.  :(  Is there a replacement trigger out there somewhere?  I would like a smooth trigger because the grooved one is really cutting into the tip of my finger.

Thanks
Billy

The only thing I can suggest is to sand down the trigger until it is like you want it. It would be easier if it was removed from the pistol and held in a vice, but I am not going there. I will go to almost any length to not remove the trigger from a 100. They come out pretty easy. Getting the trigger spring back in is another story altogether. Just be carefull not to get the frame or trigger guard with the paper you use.

Let us know what you decide and how it comes out.

Good shooting.

I think the first thing I will try is to find something to slip over the trigger.  Maybe some shrink tube might do the trick.

Now Old Coastie,  can you tell me where I can find the Are Tec s/s G19 guide rod.  Is there someplace on this internet that you can find parts for this gun.  I have a Makarov and until recently I could get part for Makarov.com.

Will Glock parts fit this gun or is it just the guide rod and spring?

Thanks.

That shrink tubing idea might just work, if it's walls are thin. Let us know how that works out. Ingenious idea.

As far as I know only the guide rods and recoil springs from the G19's fit the CZ100. The internals are totally different. I got the AroTec guide rod from Lone Wolf Distributing. Not sure if they still carry them. They change suppliers quite often. Your best bet might be a local gun show. There are usually lots of people with glock parts. Take the 100 to check for fit.

All the parts I have were purchased from CZ-USA. I just called their parts number and told them what I wanted. They had everything on my list.

Good shooting.

Hi All,  Just an update on the shrink tube project.  I finally got around to trying this and is seems to work very well.  I used a hair dryer on the shrink tube and it did shrink it but it is not a real tight fit.  I would like to use a little more heat but I am afraid that I may damage the gun.  It fit fine but slide just a little bit.  At least I can remove it if I want without any damage to the trigger.  Thanks to All for your comments. :)

The only part of the pistol you could possibly hurt with too much heat would be the frame. Try putting a damp piece of cloth over the area of the frame you need to protect. That might give you just enough time to shrink that tubing just a little more.

Good shooting.

Well I tried to shrink the shrink wrap some more but it is a small as it will get.  I am happy with the way this turned out.  It only moves a small amount and I could probably use supper glue to hold it tighter but if I want to remove it when I am wearing gloves or just want to shoot without it it will come off with no problem.

Now I must get a list of the springs in this gun and try to find replacements.  I wrote to CZUSA but I never got a reply.  Is this normal? :-\  Thanks for your input and keep posting. ;D
