Spare parts for CZ 85B?
« on: October 30, 2008, 06:20:58 PM »
Hello and good day,
I have a new 85B (maybe year 2006?). However, I want to stock-pile a few parts that might break. I have read many of your post and have a list: recoil springs, extractor springs, extra mag springs and slide stop. Here is my dilemma: do I need to buy both slide stops (so I must spend 2x as much as 75B owner) as spare. Can both break?
Thank you very much

There iis oly one slide stop.  There's a lever on the right side, and I've only heard about one of them breaking -- and it's not likely to be a problem if it does.

The 85B slide stop is different than the 75B stop -- as the end is narrower -- to fit inside right-side lever.

Thank you very much Mr. Sherill; indeed, CZ should be grateful to you. I am grateful for the time and assistance.
Have a great Halloween!

Walt, what about the spare parts of the SP-01 Shadow, will they be usable in the 85B?  If not all, which ones will fit the 85B and which ones will not?  Thanks.

Like, will I be able to use the SP01 slide stop in the CZ85c, if I don't use the right lever of the 85c (since I don't need ambi for the slide stop)?

you need to use the right side lever..the frame is cut out for the right side lever.
you could use the left side of the 85C in the SP01 though.

I see.  I was trying to find a way to mitigate the risk of the RH slide stop breaking.
