found one website that says .375 for the dovetail width and .310 for the height..but that is only website info..still looking

basing that on the LPA rear sight for the TS that was on the Standard IPSC version of the gun.

Stuart,

Appreciate the help.  The angle is what I really need.

Haven't been able to reach Angus or Eric yet, so I was turning to here in hopes someone might know.

My buddy is saying that he/we will have access to a full big-time machine shop he works for over Thanksgiving break (he's also a machinest by trade); so some stuff is getting cut.

Are you planning to cut a dovetail for a TS sight?  If so, can't you measure the sight itself?  The best I can offer is that the LPA sight on my Standard IPSC looks like it has the same dovetail as a regular CZ competition sight (which has a 20 degree angle from the vertical as far as I can tell using a machinist's protractor).  Those are my best guesses, but I wouldn't make any cuts until I have the sight in hand that I am going to install and then verify the dimensions from that.  Good luck.

DP,

Yeah, I was going to cut my '75SA slide for the TS LPA rear.

Ended up going with a different approach, and its being done as we speak.  It appears that if some "gunsmiths" don't have a pre-fabbed jig or can't get it from Brownells, the job is impossible.  Sometimes it's easier to just do it yourself.....

Thanks for the help though.

We cut them in all the time. Normall mill or CNC. The LPA sight normally comes with the sight diargam of the sight.
But if you are cutting one in from scratch the Champion sight is a better sight.
Thats what we fit to all our adj sight guns.

You say that the champion is better?

Well crap.... I've already cut the slide for the LPA's.  I've honestly never used the champions.  Better because of reliability issues, or sight picture if you don't mind me asking?

Reliability.
The reason CZ UB started using a  fixed sight was because of the need for replacing broken LPA's

BUT
Remember all adj sight that are heavily used can and or will break eventually does not matter on the manufacturer I am not saying in a  few 100 round but of course 10's of 1000's of round will always wear on guns, we find that in action shooting all the time on ALL manuafcturers guns.

Race it and it will eventually break.
just like F1 cars.
