New Stanless Steel CZ-75B
« on: January 16, 2009, 07:26:31 PM »
I purchased a new stainless CZ-75B 9mm. I went to the store to trade for a used 75B 40 untill I saw the stainless laying there calling my name. I could not resist. I want to the range Today and fired about 100 rounds of reloads. I could not ask for more. No FTF and all punched out the center target at 15 yards. I usually shoot at 25 yards but I just wanted to brake it in Today.  The only complaint is that it came with 10 round mags. I could not believe  that they would ship that pistol with post ban mags. I read on the fourm that they called CZ-USA and they sent the mags in for the high cap mags. I tried calling but they were at the shot show and will not be open untill next Monday.  I will give it a try!

Congratulations.  The SS is a great combo of looks and performance.  You're right about the mags.  High capacity mags are big help at the range and in tactical events.  Have a blast with it.

You know you are in for a new pistol when it whispers to you from the display case.? I've gone to gun shows and had things call to me from the parking lot.? I look on it as the siren song of the CZ...

I did call CZ-USA Today. I asked them if they would exchange the 2 10 round mags for the high capicity ones.  They said no problem but would not have the high capicity mags for about two weeks.

I purchased my first CZ a couple weeks back. Maybe I just got lucky but it came with a 16 round mag. While at the dealer I purchased a second mag that also held 16 rounds. Hope you can get the 16 round mag.

Was this a new weapon? If so it should have came with 2 magazines. That's the way they leave the factory.

Yes it was new and it did come with 2 ten round magazines. I sent them back to CZ-USA Today for the high cap mags. CZ said that the distributors add the mags not them.  I'm just glad that they are sending me new ones. The gun store did have the blue CZ-75 B with the high caps but they were more expensive then the stainless just for that reason. I choose the stainless instead. I purchased a Mec-Gar 16 round mag to hold me over untill my new mags arraive.

Several online dealers price the stainless 75B $100 or more than the black, polycote, model. These same dealers price the magazines the same whether 10 or 16 round capacity. As an example check at www.czcustom.com and you will see what I mean.
