The way the world goes.
Some people don't like the right side lever and want to remove it.
Me? I add them to the CZ75's to make they look like the CZ85's.
I've never tried to run my Pre B CZ85 without the right side lever. The right side of the frame is "double" walled as compared to the left side. It appears the slide stop shaft if supported by the inner frame section but I could be wrong about that.
Remove the right side lever, reinstall the left side lever completely, then try to move the right side of the slide stop shaft that stick out of the frame. Push it up/down, forwards/backwards and see if it's got slop in it not present with the right side level is installed.
This is, I think, the CZ75 Compact I installed a CZ85 slide lock/release in. See the outside (right side) of the frame, the retaining spring just inside that and the thicker inside section of the frame? The larger diameter part of the right side hole (for the right side slide release lever) does not go all the way through that wider section. The larger OD hole is deep enough to allow the right side slide release lever to go in far enough for the retaining spring to fit down into the slot on the right side slide release lever and hold it in position in the frame. It appears, to me, that the rest of that wide frame section to the left of the retaining spring would support the slide release shaft. It would leave an "ugly" gap around the shaft though. That's why Angus replied that they make a bushing to fit in there to fill in that gap. You might contact CZ Custom and see if they still make those if you want to run the gun without the right side lever.
