detailed pictures/instruction for SP01 sear assembly
« on: February 03, 2009, 10:55:53 AM »
i took it apart to replace the hammer and thought it would be fairly simple.  Now i'm having problems figuring out where the various parts/springs go and their relation to each other.

I have looked at all of the links and instructions that others have done, but they deal with the safety models.

The decocker model is the one i'm looking at.  Even if no one has detailed instructions, some quality close up picts at various angles would help.

Thanks
Caspian

perfect, the bottom one really helped with explaining where the hook of the spring goes.

I'm trying to install the competition hammer from Angus, and it's not working.

it should be a drop in fit, right?  The profile is different. I'll get a picture up tomorrow.

I broke the bleep firing pin lifer spring, so i'm gonna be delayed anyway.

thanks

I believe you have to modify one of the hammer hooks for the decocker...in which case definitely not a "drop in fit".  Maybe someone has a photo of a comp hammer modified for a decocker.

caspian - great pics! now if only i could afford another CZ with a decocker, lol.

looks like your camera is better than mine. if you are able, try turning up your aperture and exposure setting so the whole part comes into focus.

didn't eerw install a comp hammer into his decocker SP-01?

a comp hammer has to be recut to fit a decocker gun.
the decocker uses only one hammer hook, the other is cut away. the bottom of the hammer has a special shape that mates with the decocker lever to bring the hammer forward onto the half cock notch.

I experiemented with recutting a std hammer to fit a decocker..but got distracted and moved onto something else.

and just pure opinion..but with the three parts, three springs housed in the ejector housing on a decocker model..it is a PITA to disassemble and reassemble..

I ended up making a slave pin to keep all that together when pulling it in and out of the gun.

the springs are a HUGE PAIN IN THE ARSE!!!  If anyone were to ask me what I would do differently, it would be to make a slave pin to drive out the initial pin.  Therefore, the parts would never lose thier orientation.  I'm glad the temps are probihitive to shooting.  This has turned into a winter project.

I will probably either save the comp hammer to install in a CZ-85 or sell it.  It's not worth ruining.

BS, the top picts are from DP.  The pict i posted is "borrowed" from Angus' sale site.

Gonna try to put this back together.....wish me luck.
