Do you have any higher resolution pictures? Looks pretty good from what i can see, did you do the work yourself?

I love the look of those grips.  Unfortunately, the bright background metered the camera down so the details of your refinishing are hidden in shadow.  I, too, would love to see some higher resolution images, if you can post them.  The pistol looks sharp, though.

Now there's a surprise!  The first picture looks like it was duracoated in black, but this picture shows it in brown or maroon, with its black barrel showing clearly through the ejection port.  It's a good match for the wood grips.  I like it!

I Duracoated the 52 (one at top) a few years ago. The Finish has held up nicely with over 500 rounds through this gun.

I just Duracoted my CZ52 with Duracoat SL (the newer self-lubricating type they have).  I did all of the internal parts & surfaces except the springs and the firing pin.  Then coated all of the outside frame of course.  The color I used was Parker gray, which I think is very close to the original finish color (not the black re-arseneled ones).  I did several coats and I find that the tolerances are pleasantly tightened up just a tiny bit, and everything is very smooth because of the lubricity of the spray.  I used typical Hoppes gun oil on it and not the high-tech penetrating stuff like Militec-1, out of concerns for the Duracoat finish's bond to the metal.  Anybody try the penetrating lubes like that on Duracoated internals?  Any issues?  I will post pics of my coated gun later...

Thanks!
