New Rami owner
« on: March 12, 2009, 12:54:14 AM »
Managed to get my hands on a stainless poly Rami this weekend.   ;D

I actually picked this up from manofsteele last year and have been letting a bud cuddle her since then...but now she's back home!

The lovely wife got her license to kill last week and I think I've got her convinced that this is a better choice than an XDsc.  If not, I'm sure she won't wilt from lack of attention.  Picked up a few spare mags  and some Meprolights from CZ yesterday - hoping they'll arrive with tomorrow's mail.  I'll get some pics up when I get her all together.

I haven't put more than a box of ammo through it yet, but I'm very pleased thus far.

I've got to say, this has the best factory trigger pull of any of my CZs to date.  I would like the drop the DA pull weight a bit without sacrificing reliability, so...  Anyone have mainspring recommendations for these things?

Also, anyone ever try stippling the polymer frame?  I would like to add a bit more texture without using grit paper.

Thanks all,

Finally, got a camera back, so here are a couple shots of her.  Got the Meps installed over the weekend, and surprisingly, I didn't have to adjust them at all - just centered the rear over the screw hole recess in the rear and used a set of calipers to get the front within 2 mils of dead center.  I got some 15 lb mainsprings in last week as well, so hopefully I'll be able to tear her down to polish the internals and cut down the 15 lb spring to lighten the DA up a little.  Still a little bit of work to do on the Pearce extension, but I just got it yesterday and only had a little time this afternoon to fiddle with it.

So far so good.   ;D

Nice.

Also a nice choice in ammo there!
