just ordered a 85 combat

Been awhile since a new CZ made it into my stable.  I have a kadet pistol and a 452 training rifle.  I have had a 40P, 40B, PCR and 75B stainless, but for one reason or another I ended up selling them over the years.  Had the CZ itch again and some cash, so I just ordered a 85 combat (black polycoat) from Bud's Gun Shop.  They had the best price ($585 shipped) which I think is generally high but the best I could find.  But in these times I've come to accept higher prices.

Hogue is making a checkered CZ grip in black G10, and that's what I'm gonna put in the 85 combat.  Or some Trausch grips...

Good choice.  I love mine (I went duo-tone with cocobolo grips.)  Shoots as straight as my FN57.

I'm new around here, but not to the CZ's.  I think you made a great choice.  I love my 85Combat.  It's my favorite 9mm.  The only changes I made on mine where the front sight, and a little trigger work.  I posted my 1st post in the picture thread.  I really like the blued finish, but it does show a little character now.

What front sight did you go with?  I am looking to put a fiber optic up front, but do not want to change the rear 2 dot.  I have never changed a sight so did you do your own?  Did you have to alter the rear?

I got the front sight from CZ USA, and I didn't have to alter the rear sight at all.  The sights work like a charm, and I've been excited about the up coming 3 gun match, but now I won't be able to attend.    bleep economy!
