Holster advice for new CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow
« on: May 27, 2009, 01:08:03 AM »
Hello fellow SP-01 users.

I have recently taken delivery of my new 75 SP-01 Shadow and have only put 50 rounds through it- flawlessly mind you!  Anyway, what I need your advice regarding suggestions for holsters for general/ concealed carry.  I considered a Fobus to suit the CZ75 but the new square profile of the Shadow does not fit the more rounded original 75 profile.

I have looked at the rigid plastic style holsters, but I want to keep my new toy scratch-free for as long as possible.  I have looked at pancake holsters from Blackhawk, Safariland, Uncle Mikes, and a few others.  None of them have sizing charts for the new Shadow.   Here in Australia there a very few places where I can physically inspect and try holsters- most holsters can only be obtained through mail order.  Consequently, if I am to order a holster I would like to know that it will fit the Shadow.  I prefer the FBI cant and a holster that fits well and feels comfortable.  I'm not certain about choosing between belt fit or paddle.

Your advice is greatly appreciated.    At the moment I just want a good holster that suits the Shadow and is good for general/ concealed carry.

Thanks SP-01ers

I think it is fair to say if you are going to holster your handgun it is going to eventually show wear marks.  I don't think it matters much between Kydex or leather.  My recomendation would be the Blade Tech holster.  The back can easily be adjusted to FBI cant to straight drop.  The holster is very secure and provides for a very fast draw.

X2 for Blade Tech.  As stated in a previous post, Fobus not the greatest choice.
