very wet behind the ears, but been shooting O-P-P (other people's pistols) for years. First was a S&W 9mm when I was 18. Smooth as silk. Then, a glock 9 service piece a few years later, which felt less balanced and had more buck likely due to light weight polymer stock / grip?, then a springfield 9mm a couple years back at an outdoor range where the owner told me to empty the clip at will - very smooth with almost no buck at all. Then, I started seriously shopping for a solid 9mm about six weeks ago. My best bud has a sig and a 45 cal XDM. I got down to a sig p 2022 and the P07 9mm's. On the surface, a sig has the rep and the lines to be the right choice between the two. However, there was something about the P07 that was....an "x" factor? maybe... Anyway, both have great lines, manufacturing reputations, affiliations and bragging rights of various sort. Well, we went to the range last weekend, and I got to shoot both. The...my CZ 75 p07 trigger was significantly smoother with seamless feel in single and double action. Other than that, I think they are identical, which makes sense. Both are lower end price-wise of established makers. The P07 is gaining a lot of heft at the local walmart /academy / gun store. Maybe its the omega trigger? it is smoooth.

Right!  The difference is the trigger.  The CZ's is wonderful and the Sig's is clunky.

Some of you can jump on me if you want, but I actually find the Omega trigger (on my 75B) to be too light for defensive use.  In practice, I take up the slack in the trigger and accidently pop a round.  I do much better with the standard trigger on the PCR.  Maybe I just need more practice?

I called CZ regarding my magazine sticking. I spoke with Justin at 1800-955-4485 and explained to him what was happening. He sent me a new magazine with an self-addressed envelope. Can't ask for much more then that....

A592484, just bought it new, mags stick and rounds rattle around like rocks in a can. I suppose this is one of the" problem" pistols?

:D  for paper punching / range PMP 115gr FMJ and JHP ; Winchester 115gr FMJ ; S&B 115gr FMJ ; Magtech 115gr FMJ and JHP.

the best ammo is my own reloads.  115gr PMP ; 95gr PMP ; 115gr CMJ RN ; 124 CMJ RN ; 124gr CMJ FP ; Hornady JHP 115gr and 124gr ; Nosler 124gr JHP  ;)

For self defence every day carry ammo i buy Hornady XTP JHP 124gr and 115gr ; Magtech Guardian Gold 115gr JHP +P.

that said, your CZ will eat most anything you feed it. i prefer 124gr bullets in my CZ's.  they are not always readily available and that is one of the reasons i reload my own ammo.  i just do not like the commercially available reloads in S.A. i will not mention brand names.  ;)

No thought about going for the heavier " man stopper " bullet weights Kobus...we dont do that kind of thing here down under mate but 135g/140 g..would be good for self defense in your neck of the woods ;)

i agree Johhny but i can't remember when last i saw any 9 x 19 ammo above 124gr around here. i recently saw that my favourite bullet manufacturer makes heavier bullets in lead.  i have been thinking about using some for reloading. maybe i will try my hand at loading lead bullets one of these days.  ;)

A5832xx....Returned to CZ last week for repair.  Issue was trigger return spring falling out and mags sticking.
I'm supposed to be getting a new P07 next week from CZ.
