Lenw:  On mag release, 'believe it or not'.
I would like know, how some of you expect CZ to handle this mag problem,
if some shooters like drop free magazines and others like sticky mags (European style).  Only two different guns could take care of it.
I did my best to explain why magazines are not dropping free and how to handle it.  I am sorry if some readers did not understand.  :(
I have this "story" from two people. Gun dealer-NRA instructor in Atlanta and P-07 designer from CZUB.

Got it back! A word on Bulging.
Well, got the P07 back and here is the word on the bulging. the note said that it was, "FRAME BULGE, INSPECTED FOUND NOTHING OUT OF THE NORM. THE BULGE IN THE FRAME DOES NOT CAUSE ANY KNOWN MALFUNCTIONS AND IS NORMAL ON THE P07 FRAME."

so I am having this "issue" with my new P07.  Some posts say this is normal, so should I ignore this issue? I don't like it due to the fact some times the magazine hardly comes out at all, like 1/4 an inch.
The man who would choose security over freedom deserves neither.

The magazine should free fall on the P-07.  Is that what you sent it in for or did you send it in for the "Bulge"?  I would call CZ-USA and complain.  I've bought 2 P-07s. Both had the Magazine drop issue. Both (guns) were replaced.  However, that was the exact reason for the return. Didn't care a whit about the Bulge as long as the gun ran well and that includes a free fall magazine for tactical reloads.  The P-07s DO NOT have a Magazine break as found in other CZs

Of course for tactical reloads you must have free fall magazines.  Magazine break will add a little weight to the  P-07.
I will never use magazine in my gun for self defense,  if I dropped it just once.  I am using  SP-01 or P-07 for IDPA and P-01 as CCW.  Magazines from P-01 never touched the hard surface.  But this is up to each shooter if he wants to risk his life and use damaged magazines.  FTF may come in the wrong time.

So i have a new duty, and have noticed that the mag release button if very firm almost gritty, to push in.  Also i have to slam the mag home.  And the mag will not drop i have to pull it out and it's very very tight.  should I call CZ?

My mags for the Duty do not even fall a 1/4 inch when I push release. I just called CZ today and he told me they are well aware of problem and he says they think it's from early production. He said just ship to them and they will fix or replace. Only thing that sucks is I have to pay for shipping.

I have used my P07 for about a little over a week now. Depending on the temperature, the mag will not drop cold, once warm (from holding the grip) the mag will drop. Is this the issue? Seems that the material has a very high expansion rate for the the temperature. going from 35degrees to 60 degrees in my hand.

Just sent mine back last week - in fact it was signed for by CZ USA just yesterday. It will be interesting to see how long it takes and if I get a totally new gun. I really like my P-07 and did not want to send it back, but this pistol is too good to have an issue like this.

I finally called CZ customer service(800-955-4486) to send back my P07(sn A64* purchased 8-10) because of the magazine issue.

I spoke to a 'Mike' and explained about the magazine ejecting about 1/4" with the magazine full or empty - he said that the newer ones didn't have the problem anymore.  When I asked if I could send mine in to have it work like the newer versions so the magazine drops free he said: "I don't think that's possible." and left it at that, I thanked him for his time and hung up.

My questions are do I have to be issued a RA# to send it back in or can I just mail it back with a note of what's wrong?

If a RA# is required should I try contacting CZ through the email address 'info@cz-usa.com' and explaining my sticking magazine issue?

Also I purchased my P07 at Gander Mountain locally, could I have them send it in for me as a way to avoid the shipping cost back to CZ?

Great forum!

Thanks,
Neal

If you are going to contact them for warranty through email use this email for contact:

warranty@cz-usa.com

I just sent mine out today for the mag drop and trigger catch problems and it should arrive at CZ-USA tomorrow.  Hopefully they will get it back to me quickly.

Sent my A64XXXX serial numbered P07 in on the 5th and got a new pistol, A67XXXX serial number range, back on the 12th. It does not seem to be impacted by the magazine issue... and there is no frame "bulge" either. Got to take it to the range to test it out and make sure the trigger is as good as the one I returned.

Wow, glad I decided to check here first.

I held a P-07 this morning at Bass Pro,  great feeling handgun, great ergos all 'round, like any CZ, only it's light, unlike my 75B.  Almost pulled out my credit card, then I tried to drop the mag.   The release button was so stiff I could barely push it in, and the only way to get the mag out was to push down on it through the locked back slide.  No brand new firearm should leave the factory with a serious problem like this.  I see that CZ is also backing off on making good on this weapon as well.  Too bad, I was ready to purchase on the spot till this happened.

I think CZ needs a few more years experience with polymer molding techniques.

A real pity as I really do want one of these.

CZ is not backing off of anything.. I sent my P-07 about a week and a half ago with the Mag drop, slide lock problem and I should have my gun back tomorrow.
