hi, i tried using the 15lb recoil and the 16 pound main spring. it felt better when i am shooting it, but i have noticed that i experienced more jams. i am using 124 grain teflon heads that are reloaded to 4.2 - 4.5 powder load. any advice would be appreciated. any other phantom owners experiencing the same problems? i also changed the factory guide rod to a stainless guide rod and had a competition hammer installed.

is it probably because i changed the recoil spring?

You have a stainless guiderod in you're Phantom? where did you get it? I asked about this in another post but have gotten no reply. Thanks

i bought it from a friend who ordered from cz customs. its a tight fit and you have to change your flat recoils springs. although i may try t revert to the factory recoil springs again to see if ther is a difference in the jamming of ammo or failure to feed.

What type of jams are you getting?

If the recoil rod (ssteel) was a "tight fit" this could be your problem.  I've never had a jam with the stock set up on the recoil end.

If you get a chance try changing the guiderod back to factory to see if that has anything to do with you're jams. If it turns out to be the guiderod I'll just live with the factory one for now. Don't really need the stainless it just looks cool. Thanks

it has a "tight fit" while trying to insert it at the bottom of the barrel. i had to change to the new guide rod because i wanted to change the recoil springs to 15 lbs. our factory spring is the flat type, the ones i got from czcustoms where round so i cant use the plastic guid rod. ill give you guys feedback once i switch back to the factory recoil springs. but the 15lb recoil spring was a joy to shoot the recoil was more controlled.

by the way any suggestion on what is the best powder load for competition? ht of bullet and how many grains ammo? that would be best for our phantom.

hello nosram, you seem to be the same guy i met at the range last sunday... i was the one with the shadow. sent you a pm on how to contact me so we can try out different loads and types of heads for your phantom. hopefully they're all just ammo related malfunctions and that they can be resolved easily.
