75 TS Recoil Spring
« on: August 14, 2009, 09:43:44 PM »
Hey Angus, what recoil spring (rating) is CZ Custom typically putting in tuned .40S&W Tactical Sports these days? (Or what do you run?)

I bought my TS from you guys a short while back (absolutely love it), but of course forgot to order some spare springs at the same time...   :-[  Whatever it came with seems to be working out very well for me.

(I had been meaning to just give CZ Custom a call, but it just kept slipping my mind due to how busy I've been the last two weeks... and since it's the weekend now, figured I'd see if I can just get some feedback here before Monday, plus share the info for any others who want to know the same thing.)

Great question.  I bought an 11lb for my 9mm TS last week but I am afraid to replace it before Angus gives the go ahead.
9mm's can expand but .45's dont shrink.

We have covered this elewhere, but to recap.

I like to run the lightest spring possible, I am looking for result (not necessarily longevity)
Lighter the spring softer the gun shuts so less movement of the front sight.

I would suggets 14 or 16lb for normal use of TS 40
TS 9mm as low as 10lb depending on ammo
Angus Duhhhh!
