If the sides of the slide are flat you have a model 27. If the sides of the slide are rounded then it is a model 24.
The 27 is chambered for .32 auto while the model 24 fires a .380.
From the serial number it's probably a pre-war production if a 27. I believe all 24's were produced pre-war.
For the 7.62 Nato get a Springfield M1A.
