CZ 27 - star on grips...now with pics!

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone had any info on an old Model 27 that has a star where the CZ emblem usually goes on the grip?

It is an early "Bohmishe" variant sn. 178xxx  (although the one in the photo is an fnh variant it is exactly the same). It has the WaA76 eagle stamp and the eagle & swastika on the barrel so I sort of know its vintage but any help with a more accurate date would be awesome. It is just the grip that has me stumped?

Any help appreciated!!

Here is another one...anyone know why these have the star grips on them?

Unfortunately, I haven't a clue.  I have never seen grips like that before and I have been collecting Czech pistols for quite a few years now.
