So here's an update.  Shot my 2nd USPSA match with my CZ today...I put the factory recoil spring in for this match, and I had absolutely no problems other than my tendency to flinch and freaking rush.  way too many no shoots and mikes for my liking.
Still had a good time.
No problems with the gun, no ftf's or fte's.  Good solid match, 135-140 rounds.

Yeah....It was a good match...lots of good stages with a lot of movement.
My goal for the next match is less mikes and no shoots.

Thats a nice job you did at the match. Armoredman my husband loves to re-load. Keeps him busy during his off hours. I am sorry I didn't get here sooner to comment. You did do a great job. Enjoy the forum.

Results are up and I didn't come in last!  I came in 3rd to last LOL.
But still, My goal for the next match is to have 0 no shoots and maybe 2 mikes.

Good Job!

Keep it up. You have a good goal.

Keep posting your progress and keep shooting and having fun.

Progress can come fast and slow so don't get discouraged if you have a bad stage or bad day.

I too hate NS and Misses. I ran a stage last week of 26 for 26 A's and went from 12.9% to 52.9% over the last 6 months.

GOOD Shooting!

Wow that's awesome!

I compared my results of this match to the results of the last match.  Compared to who won production in both matches (same guy, he got me into CZ's but was shooting a glock both times).
November I shot
            Points   Stg %
   1    470.0000 100.00% <--him
   2    191.7486  40.80%  <--me

December I shot:
          Points   Stg %
   1  685.0000 100.00% <---him
   3  327.3719  47.79%  <---me

Lots more rounds in the December match.
I'll tell you guys somethin, I was SO discouraged going into the last two stages...heck, I even came in last place on the stage I built.  (ha ha, epic fail on my part)...but the last two stages, those were my best stages, despite a mike on each stage...they were good challenging stages, one being a classifier (which according to the classifier calculator I'm a REALLY low D.).  I wish I would've recorded going through them though.

you are doing great. keep at it and the improvement will come. do  you get the opportunities to practice?
keep having fun, I can remember when I first started. lots of misses and no-shoots, but over the years..I have improved.

I dont get a whole lot of chance to live fire practice, but I try to dry fire a few times a week, work on my draw and the like as well.
I need to get my hands on Brian Enos' book.

I'm hoping I score big on Christmas and am able to get my hands on some of those things.  But I want to get the rest of my mags, my pouches and my belt first.

Hi Brie,

I finally created an account here after lurking forever.  You are doing great.  Next match is 17 Jan.  Thinking about going to livefire practice tomorrow... wanna come?  O0

I have some books that I can loan you (just not my son's autographed benos book, he treats that thing jealously like a holy relic)... Steve Anderson and Saul Kirsch, plus the Burkett and 3GM videos. Just gotta find em in the smoking crater that is our kitchen remodel.  Gimme a call.

Kindest Regards,
Caesar
