Big Thumbs UP! For Marschal's Grips!!
« on: December 01, 2009, 11:38:58 PM »

I had recent contact with Dennis Marschalko at Marschal Grips.

He sent me the requested wattle wood CZ Compact grips in red , plus a few more pairs!

Firstly, his CZ83/83 grips are gorgeous!

While I no longer own a 82 or 83. These grips make me want to buy one!!

They appear to be smooth on the edges but provide a good gripping surface where it counts.

I can't seem to bring the true essence of these grips out in my photos, but be assured that
these grips are Beautiful, with a capital B!

Next up would be the pair that She selected for Nancy's PCR.

We both liked the color and craftsmanship of these grips. The finger grooves are great feeling, and
add a certain flair to the already great looking pistol.

Like with all of the grips as sent to me for review, the traditional CZ logo is also a nice touch!

Note that the grips are darker in color than in this photo, but I hope you enjoy these pics.

The P-01 PCR poster background shows them to a different degree, as the PCR is nestled in
High Noon's- Under Armor SKIN shoulder holster.

As you can see in this pic, the grips are extremely well made, with no sharp edges and
seem to be almost graceful lines on the rear side.

The pair that we decided to keep, went on without modification.

I tried to put on a second pair (walnut)
but slightly marred the screw hole with my screw-driver...and decided to quit there.

I expect that like with my sample pair, that all of these grips would install easily.

These P-01/PCR grips are what I believe to be stained walnut, and were the lightest in color
of all the grips.

With a legion of satisfied customers out there.

I can now see why CZ fans ( and others) rave about the quality of Marschal's grips!

Should you be looking for something nice for your CZ this holiday season, or
wishing some truly custom grips to send as a gift.

Dennis and his crew would be a great place to start!

ClarkstonCZ,

I'm really interested in getting a set of grips from Dennis.  I sent an e-mail to him with a few questions a couple of weeks ago, but haven't received a response, so I'd like to ask you a few questions about your grips and your ordering experience.

Did you order them through the automated Marschal website, where you fill in the drop-down fields with your desired options?  Did you have any initial q-and-a with Dennis prior to placing an order?

Regarding the grips themselves, specifically the P-01 models, how do they compare with the stock rubber grips in terms of width and palm swell?  Were you given any option to customize this ergonomic feature?

Sorry to burden you with my queries, but I've found that I shoot my P-01 most accurately when I use a strong squeeze death grip.  I'm assuming I need more grip contact with my hand via a wider grip and/or more pronounced palm swell to make my shooting more comfortable and enjoyable.  Thanks, in advance, for any advice you can share.

Got the PCR grips (same as P01) smooth with thumb rest and they fit me better and shoot better than the standard grips even through they are the same thickness. Have no trouble getting a good grip on it and no longer losing any hair on my side where the rubber grips did a number :-[

When did it change from "We the people" to "screw the people"?

Why use 911 when it's faster to use 1911 or 9mm?

Nice grips, Larry!  Did you have trouble getting a good grip with the stock rubber set?  Do the wood grips just fill your hand better due to the contour?  Do you have any pics of the side with the thumb rest?  Does that option help with getting a better grip?

Other than pulling the hair off of my side (seriously) the rubber grips where fine fit wise. the finger contours fit my hand so much better that getting a tight grip is much easier for me. The thumb rest helped with the better shooting as it fits well enough to do a point and shoot so I automatically come up closer to being on target.

Maybe recoilguy will chime in on what he thinks as he has the exact same grips on his P01.

Thanks for the reply, that's exactly the information I was seeking.  Does the thumbrest stick out real far vs. the right hand side grip?  Did you order your grips from Dennis' automated order page?

HI guys. I just contacted Dennis and told him that i'd be glad to do a review of his products.
I said that I liked the P-01/PCR grips in red wattle with the CZ logos the best.

He responded with those grips for review. and others to go towards our Holiday fun here on the forum.

Great products, great guy!

Now I'd like to see him offer some red wattle for the Micro Desert Eagle with
KEVIN on them.

That would make my year so far!

BTW: the thumb rest doesn't stick out too far, but really improves my accuracy
with the superb PCR.

Like a stainless steel guide rod (my P-01) the thumb rest is a user option that might or
might not be beneficial to you.

Feel free to visit my albums.

Thanks for the bird's eye view of the thumbrest, Kevin.  I think I'm going to order a set.  Maybe Dennis will answer my questions when he's got Paypal fundage in his account!    ;D
