Just wondering how much you still like the aluminum grips after a couple months of using them. By the pics posted, it looks like the P-01 will be much slimmer and similar to 1911 size width.

I like Alum grips. The rubber grips are perfect for grip, but "print" when I carry. (I'm fat)    I don't think Alum grips are for everyone, several shooters prefer the CZ wood grips. Thinner and flatter than the rubber, not as thin as Alum.  I like PCR and PO-1 for carry, so Alum work for me. I'd try somebody else's before you spend the money if you can.

The printing issue when conceal carrying is the main reason I want to get rid of the stock rubber grips.  The rubber grip causes the cover garment to stick to it and creates printing.  Wood grips would most likely solve this but if I can get closer to a thinner 1911 width grip, I might have found 9mm nirvana in the P-01.

Wish you hadn't posted those pictures.  Now, I am going to have to go spend money and get me a set of them.  They look awesome.  I love my P-01 but always thought it looked cheap with the rubber grips.  It definiely will not look cheap with the AL grips.

Here's a pic of my new CZ thin aluminum grips on my P-01 next to my Dan Wesson CBOB 1911.  The CZ P-01 grip  is now thinner than the VZ grips on my CBOB.    I like it.  Now if I can just shorten that length of trigger pull on the P-01 some more and maybe lighten the trigger pull as well in both DA and SA, I will have found 9mm happiness.

Thanks ganderson. The stock rubber grips are great but your post persuaded me to get the thin grips and add Brooks Tactical Agrip material.

As my buddy GATLIN will say, " these aluminum thin grips have a.....clinical feel". Rock on. The Agrip material is suede-like, similar to the covering on some Sparco race steering wheels. The pistol just locks in your hand.

Thanks. The aluminum grips are a little pricey(somebody needs to make a cheaper version), but they are a good platform to adhere different materials for grip. If I had another set I would try to mount some thin leather or something for experiment.

Ganderson , when you got the grips did they come plain without the grip stuff on them or did you have to stick it on yourself ? Or did they come with grip tape and you had the option of putting it on or leaving it off ?
Also , did new screws come with the grips ? It looks like the old ones would be too long since the new grips are so thin .
I want those grips but want them to be plain-jane without anything on them .  Any help would be appreciated , and yours looks GREAT!

The grips come with new screws and the skate-board tape is not stuck on yet, you have to do that yourself.
