The blade is marked "ITALY" below the maker glyph which appears to be a stylized bird's head facing to its left. On the right hand side of the brid's head, under its beak, is what I assume is the maker's name but I can't make out what that is. The contrast of the scribed/stamped metal against the contrast of the differing steel layers just mixes it too much for these old eyes to pick what from which. It
might possibly be "ALLEN" or "ALLIN" but might not even be close to that.
I bought it online some years ago just because, well, I always wanted one.
