I will post scans of the manual tomorrow. You can change the safety for a dexoxker. The case just doesn't have one with it even though the manual says it does.

The point of the P-02 is to offer an all metal P-01 style handgun with the Omega trigger system.  Just like the point of the 75 B Omega is to offer an all metal CZ 75 B with the Omega trigger system.

And I thought the point of the Omega trigger system was the ability to switch between decocker and safety.

It is. Jim is partially correct in that the P-07 decocker/safety does not fit in the P-02; the frame is too wide. The P-02 is setup to accept the decocker spring just like the P-07/09 are. My P-02 did not come with a decocking lever, but I hope that CZ sells a metal decocking lever sometime in the future. The manual says in three specific places that the compact omega DA/SA gun, the P-02, is able to be setup as a decocker OR a safety. They just don't have the bleep decocker available.

Have you called CZ-USA?  If they have it, they should send it to you.

I sent them a bunch of emails. One rep said the only P-02's that he has seen shipped with plastic ambi decockers and hasn't seen any other forms of the pistol. Mine shipped with a metal ambi safety.

I sent them an email a few hours ago about purchasing a decocker for this gun, but my guess is that CZ Actual won't or can't ship them the metal decockers that fit on this gun for whatever reason. I am happy with the safety, but I would be more happy to have both options so I can change at my whim.

I want a decocker for carry because I wouldn't want to accidentally activate the safety for any reason even though all of the other CZ's I have owned or shot don't have that particular problem. I feel better about decockers overall and a metal decocker lever set would be fantastic for this gun.

Looks nice, is the trigger pull very similar to other omegas you've tried? I have a P-07 that is pretty smooth. Just curious, thinking about this or a P-01.

I've never tried an Omega triggered CZ before, but I like the SA on my P02 a lot. The DA is a little heavier than I'd like though, some parts from CGW should help with the eight, pre-travel and reset. Like I said the SA is very good as is, I think it's better than my CZ75 SA was out of the box. The trigger itself is nice and wide. Really liking this gun so far.

I got hit by the CZ and clone bug HARD and I was going to purchase a P-01 until i got a whiff of this and it has a manual safety!  But im reading that parts arent interchangeable, the omega trigger system isnt proven to be as reliable as the standard CZ trigger (yet) and some mags wont work from other CZs and the MecGars from clones.  I would love to have my CZs and various clones to use the same mags if possible cause they are widely available.

So if anyone can answer these for me i would GREATLY appreciate it:

1 - How hard would replacement parts be to come be and what is not interchangeable?  I know the Kadet conversion slide is out the window.
2 - What mags work and which ones wont? (if that indeed in the case)
3 - While I prefer a manual safety, for peace of mind, would the P-01 be a better choice if im worried about the above two?

Thanks guys.

I wouldn't worry about it as much as you are. I am going to be keeping the safety until I can source a decocker for the omega trigger set made for this gun. You can't swap levers with other plastic omega guns because of the different frame widths. My compact 14 round mags work in the gun as well as a friends 16 round mags.

Bottom line, don't over think it.
