I meant to add that I would be willing to try a plastic decocker lever.

Yes, it did. Mine was one of the "first cut" guns that made it over here in summmer 2011. It has both. It's not labeled "P-02", however. It's labeled "CZ-75 Compact" with the Omega symbol next to it on the slide. I keep mine with the decocker in.

I don't know why they don't include both anymore. It's not listed in their current catalog either. Perhaps they're walking away from it.

I want a metal or plastic decocker. I don't really care which. I would pay through the nose for one too.

I keep going back and forth on whether I want a P02 or not.

Get one. I love mine and it eats everything I feed it just like a P-01. I carry hammer all the way down and it is a great gun. I really like mine, but I am constantly waffling on the wood grip "deli a" and which way I should go for wood grips.

A local GS had a couple - one with decocker and one with safety. I don't know where he got them, but he wanted too much in my opinion ($629) and he wouldn't budge off the price so I bought a new P-01 for a lot less.

Still enjoying the crap out of mine. It is in my daily carry rotation, though my shield is taking up most of that time.

Did your gun come with the square hammer in your photo?

I believe that's Cz customs omega hammer.

Considering most SP01's are going for over $600 and the P02 isn't even close to being as available I don't think $629 is a bad price. Just saying ;)

Starting in a few months, IDPA will have a new division for compact pistols. It was designed around the Glock 19 but I think my P -02 will play very well there.
I am adding the sights from Cajun Gun Works.

The P-01 or P-02 should be very competitive in CCP.  May have to go on a slight diet as far as the width goes.  After market grips should remedy the issue.  I plan on getting a classification with my P-01 at the first opportunity.

If you look closely, it is a P-09 hammer. It reduced the SA reset by a lot. I believe that CZC has a competition version of that same hammer for $80 or so.

Here is the regular P-09 hammer. I can't justify the cost for the rrcut hooks on the hammer that I have right now.

If I had the choice between the two when I bought the P-99 hammer, I would probably buy the competition hammer. The SA is still a little mushy when compared to my SP-01, but the SP-01 has been cajunized and polished and what-not. The P-02 has some Cajun parts like the short reset, extended firing pin and firing pin retraining pin, and stuff. I don't think the Omega trigger can ever be as good as the traditional FCG that comes with the P-01/SP-01/etc.

I went down the road and picked up a P-01 for $560 a couple days later that I had seen before I saw the P-02s so I didn't think his pricing was that good.
