Funny the Beretta 92 or the Sig classic series also rely on decockers 2 of the finest designs ever with millions produced I would carry either of them into combat and never bat an eye. I have thousands of rounds through both systems without a stoppage and have carried both in my LE career. Never felt like either was Neutered and dont feel my P01 is either. It will take a long time for me to develope the trust for the P01 that I have for them, But I have to admit it's growing quickly. ;D I would love to find a way to modify the pistol into a DAK style trigger however LOOOOOOOVVVVEEEEE the DAK trigger system.

Yes, the P-02 is a P-01 with the Omega trigger system. Just like the 75 B Omega is just a 75 B with the Omega trigger system. Only difference is the trigger.

Hiya Jim in texas, another difference in my po-2 and its a big one for me as I shoot left and right handed is the ambi safety. Come from the factory with the decocker installed, but had the manual ambi safety in the case, and takes just a few minutes to swap out. My understanding is that a po-1 comes with one right side decocker, which I guess CZC has shown us can be converted to a manual, at additional cost, but wont come with a decocker to swap out. And its not ambi. Which shows a lil more love for those lefties out there.

This was the ad that czc had back on its site the fall of 2011 when I was shopping for my first gun. Its does not say po-2 on the slide, just 75 compact, and the omega symbol stamped on it for the trigger system.

I don't know where they're coming from since CZ and CZUB don't have them on their website but I was thrilled to get my P-02 yesterday from Mississippi Auto Arms, Inc. They aren't on their website but are $598.80. I bought mine in the store but their contact is:

Now I'm just dying for a competition hammer and trigger kit from Cajun Gun Works or Angus crew!! Trigger is great but it's always nice to tinker. I should note my safety is different than the one above and is the same as my SP-01 I think.

Just got the PO-2 and it came with the safety installed.  I was under the impression that you could change the safety out and install a decoker.  There was no decoker included with the pistol.  How do I get one and how do I install it? I have a PO-7 and it came with both.

Only the P-07 allows the choice of manual safety or decocker. The P-02 Omega and 75 B Omega are only available with manual safety.

Are you saying that the P-02 only comes with the safety and you must buy a decocker separately? What would be the point of the P-02 if you can't switch between the two levers?

No decocker available at all on the P-02. Manual safety only. You can't switch it out.

The point of the P-02 is to offer an all metal P-01 style handgun with the Omega trigger system.  Just like the point of the 75 B Omega is to offer an all metal CZ 75 B with the Omega trigger system.

I recall parts of my first visit to ghost products (CZC), and Rob had several po-2's ta show me, as they were the only compact 9mm for sale in the store, and all of em were set up from the factory like mine, decocker--ambi, with the manual safety--ambi in the case. I picked  one out of the bunch and only my checkbook regrets ever hearing of cz's. A few posts up I screen shot  one of the ads for the po-2. As a first gun, I had no real idea what manual safety vs decocker safety meant in form, use or function. Today I do, learning the hard way, meaning I'd bought a po1 with single manual safety which allowed the triggers action to become much sweeter, the po-2 was actually in the classifieds for months without an offer.  My ideal 9mm compact, if cz can make em has ambi decocker and without an omega trigger system; which to me is mushy, to much play, and not capable of having the shorter reset installed or a crisp break the po-1 had. Glad ta see a few folks keeping the thread alive, and nice ta see the po-2 get reincarnated, only question is  so its an ambi safety thats only manual now, right??  Odd cz would reintroduce a guy with less options available than previous builds, but suppose it costs less then.  Be well, and safe and happy holiday tomorrow.
