Foma:  I have the same view re: the P-07.  It's a CZ, but it certainly not a 75B. It's a departure from norm. I feel the same way about the Springfield XD. I've had (2) P-07s. I traded one to a gentleman overseas for a CZ75 (Rhodesian issue) and I still have one P-07. I bought it as a throw away gun. I have no attachment to it at all. My other CZs are like my kids they're not going anywhere.  But, hey, I would try to exploit my reputation if I was CZ on a new product launch.

I am feeling that some one is unhappy with their 07..I tried one out and went through 700 rounds before trading up to the 01..to say it is not a true cz?? so what you are saying that a 1975 cadilac is a true cady and the new 2010 are not cadies..well not every one uses a cz just like not every one drive a cady. I really do like my 01 as it has not failed. The 07 failed to hammer fall after two send backs. I just lost confidence in the weapon. So traded..I feel the 07 is a fine shooting piece ands will in time be an excellent firearm for law enforcement.
It is designed for a significant purpose and if it can be fielded in the US, and pass all the low tolerances for error then it will be an even better choice..

.to say it is not a true cz??

No, we are saying it is not a true CZ-75.  It is a cheep plastic copy of some Sig like gun, not a CZ-75.  I really don't care if CZ wants to build one, and it would certainly be a CZ.

Well, My new P07 says CZ o9n the wide of it is I guess it is one. Since it shoots so well I wouold not care of they claimed it was a hotdog. I love my 75BD  Police too and I know some who turn up their nose at it too. I wondered if i would likie the P07 when I bought it. Wondered even more when I sent the first one  back but now I am very happy and it is a keeper. Keep talking while I go shooting.

I'm with you epwrangler.  Just got back from a range trip with my P-07.  It is one heck of a shooter in my opinion and I thoroughly enjoy taking it out for 100 rounds or so.  I couldn't care less if it truly a "CZ-75" or not.  It meets my needs and that's about all that matters to me.

It is a cheep plastic copy,

so you are saying that CZ only copies its firearms? So how many manufactures have copied CZ? I am sure that there are more CZ clones out there...Sure the breech lock resembles a glock...the trigger is something new to CZ..So from your point of view the P07 is not a CZ.  Did another manufacture build that particular firearm?? The only firearm that I can see that CZ may have copied is the Browning Hi-power. So why do you say that the P07 is not a CZ... I say it is part of the evolution of CZ to improve and supply a better firearm for the consumer..

Sorry you can only read six words at a time, but when you get the ability to read complete sentences, you will see that I never said that it was not a CZ, just that is was not a CZ-75 as the early ones were marked (CZ-75 P-07).  There is nothing common between the P-07 and the CZ-75 other than the place of manufacture.  Where you got the rest of your stuff is beyond me.  I will copy what I posted again:

"No, we are saying it is not a true CZ-75.  It is a cheep plastic copy of some Sig like gun, not a CZ-75.  I really don't care if CZ wants to build one, and it would certainly be a CZ."

If you still need help with the above, tell me what language you speak and I will try to get it translated for you.

Actually the P-07 does share parts with the CZ-75 - as they are selling the CZ-75B with the Omega trigger system.

http://www.czub.cz/en/catalog/79-pistols-cz/PST/CZ_75_B_OMEGA.aspx

I don't know which model had the trigger first - my guess would be the 75B.

My 75 Bd Police is a Cz and so is my 07. I  love to shoot them fir what really makes a Cz75....accuracy. I shoot the P07 very well. It stays..In fact, I am making a summer special to carry it in.

The CZ 75 P-07 Duty will not accept CZ 75 mags.

I think this statement (along with many others) tells us that this is a new line of pistols.
CZ has broken away from tradition and entered a new arena. For better or worse, only time will tell.

Until then, I refuse to blindly accept the Duty as a CZ-75 and recommend it be grouped into a category of it's own.

CZ has introduced many new modifications and moved away from it's own core competency. The initial issues of hammers not falling (on production guns!!!), mags not dropping free, finish prematurely coming off are all indications of challenges. None of which I may say are present in their primary lines.

CZ 75 P-07 Duty - Not a CZ 75 but maybe a great gun with Duty 2.0.

CZ did not clone SIG.  CZ UB is holding  Omega trigger patent.  Maybe SIG copied Omega?
In December  you will see new DUTY with barrel 20 mm longer and 19 round mag.
If I get lucky, I will bring the picture in October.

Strange  but  my BD mags  may look funny in it but yes, they will lock up and shoot.
