I carry my 75b most of the time as I've gotten rid of my 1911 holster (there's so much work I want to do it that I don't bother carrying it right now). Even with a crappy belt the weight doesn't really hamper its ability to conceal, but you are always aware that it's there. How aware you are depends drastically on the kind of holster you use. I have a
Comp-Tac Minotaur and a
Milt Sparks VM2 and both provide excellent weight distribution and retention.
That said, the CZ's polycoat finish does seem to be especially susceptible to abrasive wear. Both the kydex and the leather in the Minotaur holster seem to not like the polycoat and have put some noticeable wear on certain parts of the gun, namely the top and left of the slide forward of the ejection port. This is strange since the leather is what's touching the left side, and it seems to do more wear to the gun than the kydex does.
The Milt Sparks VM2, on the other hand, is made out of some kind of magical leather that does little to almost nothing to the gun and is very handsome to boot. The VM2's shortfall is tuckability. I have the tuckable clips, but unlike Comp-Tac's, Milt Spark's are kinda worthless as they clip to your pants instead of your belt. This makes them very discreet as they hide under your belt, but pretty unsteady. The only other option is the belt loops, which work great, but force you to have a cover garment (untucked shirt, suit jacket, coat, etc.).
If you can live without tuckability I would go with the VM2 or any of the clones out there (
UBG Holsters, for instance, run less than 70% of the price and have a much shorter wait) as they tends to use higher quality materials. Abrasion aside, however, I enjoy carrying in the Minotaur more as it offers much more versatility in carry (tucked, untucked, adjustable cant and carry height). It also rides closer to my body, I've noticed, which makes it a more stable carry platform.
