Broken recoil spring in P-01

After exactly 3950 (mostly factory WWB 115 gr) rounds since May, 2010 ,the original recoil spring in my P-01 broke today when I was reassambling the pistol after cleaning.  Is this a normal life expectancy for these springs?  Does anyone knows if this spring is covered under CZ's warranty?

Any reccomendations on where I should get my next spring? Should I go with the original CZ stock, or is there something better?

The warranty should honor it.  That is way too soon/ and should never really break---just weaken.

I know the 75B comes with Wolff springs (gunsprings.com), as do many makes of pistol.  A B's recoil spring is about $7, but I would call CZ and tell them of the problem.  They may help.

Get 'round coil' as opposed to 'flat coil' spring as well.

There is nothing wrong with 'plastic' guide rod. I went from Delrin (plastic) to stainless steel and back to Delrin myself.
Personally, I see no reason to use SS guide rod.

I have done that. They are sending a replacement spring under warranty. Also ordered a couple of springs from Wolff's just in case the new one goes kaput at some point.

When I got home from work today, a new recoil spring from CZ-USA was waiting for me. Very fast service via FedEx. I'm very pleased.

Both - cz-usa and czcustom have always been good to me, on many many ocasions!!
I'm still to visit czcustom in person, been to cz-usa
