A few showed up here many years ago, there are at least 2 other forum members that have them.  The markings are "RA" followed by a number.  There are also a few later ones that came in with the same shipment marked "ZA" (Zimbabwe Army).

I'm not so knowledgeable about it, so what makes Rhodesian CZs desirable?  Thanks.

I cannot tell you about why someone else would want a Rhodesian firearm but after spending some time over at the FAL files and learning about the sad history of the Rhodesian war I went from "why would anyone paint a gun like that?" to  "I need one of those" just based on the history.

Exactly. Rhodsia was a country that supplied Africa with food, and terrorists backed by communists, openly supported by UN embargoes on the horrible white run government, overthrew the Rhodesian government and turned a once prosperous country into a hell hole. Their money i sprinted in million dollar notes as it is so worthless - I think it was two or twelve million dollars for a bus ride. Robert Mugabe, dictator for life, and his "war veterans" have turned the country inside out for their own profit, and there is hardly anything left...
Rhodesian camouflage is my all time favorite, great bush pattern, and the connection to a proud nation done to death by evil, and abetted by her neighbors because they didn't like the skin color of the people in charge.

Just caught a documentary on netflix  "Mugabe and the White African"  it was a sad update on what has become the acceptable racism.

Sad part is you can look around the world and see who will be the next Rhodsia , and see the same players have not changed the game.

armed hiker and armoredman:

Thank you so much for answering my query.
And yes, this does put a premium on Rhodesian CZs,
as far as I'm concerned now. Thank you again. :)

You have a great collection - My "gun fund" was blown at Christmas and will take a while tobuild back up - I am torturing myself lurking on Gunbrocker.com, looking at some great CZs that I can'taford right now!  I think my next purchase (summertime, maybe?) will be a CZ 52 . . .

I am green with envy!   O0

armed hiker:  I would prescribe taking (1) CZ 527 in 7.62x39, and a 40cal SP-01 Tactical. Then call me in the morning!!  This may be a Chronic disorder.  It's a burden, but persevere.
