If you strip the mud CZ uses for a finish

What is the best way to do that?  What do you use to do it?

Use a high quality stripper that can do epoxy. Strip it twice, follow the instructions on the can. LIGHTLY sand and bronze wool, do not stain. Use the natural color of the wood. Buy tru oil and rub baby rub. Wool between every 2-3 coats. 8 + coats are needed for a high gloss finish. After it's really dry, a week or so, rub it out with rotten stone or a very fine rubbing compound to flatten it out. Stay away from the checkering when rubbing the oil in. After you are done you can go back with an artist brush using truoil thinned 50% with mineral spirits, and do one, only one, coat on the checkering.

The 6.5x55 is one a great load. Soft recoil, accurate and incredible penetration. I saw a 550 Kevlar stock in 6.5 swede on Gun Broker a few weeks ago for around $850 or so.
