Question on re-assembly of bushing
« on: November 28, 2005, 06:45:06 AM »
My CZ97 I ordered will be coming soon--After I wait for NYS stupid CoBIS requirement~! Anyway, after reading through the posts here, I've beem concerned about what I read about the new bushing that may come with my pistol. I understand the old bushing was designed to screw into alignment correctly. The new bushing you have to watch out not to tighten it too much--How will I know how much is too much? or better yet, what is the recommended method to put it on? Certain number of twists? A specfic "o' clock" position?

My thanks in advance!

hmm..  well I dont have the new type but I would assume it to work like the old.  Just gently hand tighten until the bushing stops turning (key is gently) and then back it off to the nearest notch.

Yeah don't worry about that, you will know when it's right because you will feel it get tight and see where the notches line up.
