Nice!

Who wants to bet, those Czech armorers had exactly that kind of tool?

All it is is a finish nail  ground the point end flat and used a small file to put the smallest of groves in the flat side.

It would be great if you could post a detailed photo of your home made nail-tool-spring manipulator-thingy! I think I understand what you did, but seeing it would probably help.

Finally got mine back together also. Took a lot of breaks. I improvised a copy of Geen's tool; basically a flattened nail with a groove then used a Brownell's pin holder as a handle. The nail flops around in the handle but it still works fine. The spring fell into place the very first time I tried it, I thought "no way, that was too easy" then it disengaged while I was re-installing the trigger link. I used the tool again and the spring went into place right away. Thanks Geen for sharing your design and many, many thanks to all who offered assistance. I gotta say, the CZ design team did not subscribe to the "simpler is better" philosophy with the CZ82. Great gun though and an incredible value for the money.

MAYBE MAYBE MAYBE!

I might have figured out an easy way to put the sear spring back in its slot in the auto safety..................

I had the same issues everyone else had (super annoying and time consuming and was never able to get the spring in place), what I did was decock the gun with the rear of the auto safety in the full downward position. I then used a forked tool l like the one made from the brad nail in the earlier part of the thread. I pushed the sear spring down as far as it would go, and slowly, carefully cocked the hammer while holding the spring down. When the hammer cocked, the auto safety slipped over the spring and it popped right into place. So far it appears to be in the same spot as my untouched 83 and it functionally checks out. You have to be bleep careful cocking the hammer so you dont bend the sear spring leg with the auto safety, but it seems to have worked and was very quick and easy. This very well may be the way that the CZ pro's do it at the factory, I guarantee that they dont spend as much time dicking with it as we all have.

Please let me know if this fix works for you, it may just have to become a sticky and save some hair from being pulled out and a lot of cursing.

PLEASE DISREGARD THE ABOVE INFO, ALL IT WILL DO IS BEND YOUR SEAR SPRINGS. I DID HAVE GOOD LUCK MAKING A SLAVE PIN FOR THE AUTOSAFETY AND HOLDING DOWN THE SEAR SPRING WHILE YOU DROP THE EJECTOR CAGE DOWN ON TOP OF THE SPRING AND THEN RELEASE THE SPRING. MAN THIS GUN IS A "PITA" TO REASSEMBLE.

I did mine by sticking a tool through the extractor hole and pressing the spring down lightly as far as it would go and laying  the auto safety and extractor on top. wiggled it around. it worked but took a few tries. then checked for spring tension on the auto safety and sear and they had tension. I did connect the auto safety and extractor together with a slave pin aka toothpick. your method seem interesting. 1st did you have the strut and spring in to give the hammer tension. second did you have the extractor and auto safety pinned in.
