... to fit a semi-compact slide on a regular c75b ... would it be a lot of trouble?

I like messing with stuff.

I change the slides on a Compact and 75B; no problems, slip right on.

The question asked if a SEMI compact slide would interchange. Answers were for a compact.Anyway, if the answer is "yes" for both that is good info to me! I guess I can  assume the full size can swap to a semi or compact? Regards, G>M>F>

It will work just fine, unless you're putting it on a pre B frame. That will work too, but the firing pin block will need to be removed. I lucked into a demilled compact parts kit and was able to do some mixing and matching. What do ya think?

To answer the second half - very rarely see just an upper for sale and when you do the price is just about the same as buying a complete gun.  Best bet is keep a lookout for reasonable priced gun and either have two or sell the lower.

Have to do a lot of looking through classifieds or put out a want to buy. Top ends alone are scarce to find.
