I started going to a pistol match in the Dallas area not to long ago.
I was nervous because I had never done anything like this before, and I ended up placing 2nd to last the first time out.
I also felt out of place, it didn't help that I have a polished 75b, and everyone else mainly had glocks, m&ps, xds, and 1911.
I was the only one with a CZ! Everyone was like, oh there's the shiny gun... They couldn't tell what it was either. "Is that a browning?" Did you chrome your gun?
The people were really nice though, and very supportive, great crowd to have a match with.
So after, I started to go the range more, practice my holster draw at home, and my sight picture.
I ended up going back to the pistol match, for a second chance to redeem myself, and what do you know, I placed 12 out of 26.
A nice move up I believe for my second time out. After doing one stage pretty well, lots of guys started asking me what gun I shoot.
So I made sure to tell them it was a CZ. I believe there was another guy out there shooting a p07 duty, but he wasn't in my group.
Looking forward to your report!
