Anyone ever used the Universal Scope Mount from Fab Defense for their SP-01 Shadow? I am really unsure if this will come in conflict with the shell casings that will be flying out, just take a look at the pics below and you will know what I mean

Just lok at how much it covers the SIG

But I found a pic of it on a SP-01 and it looks like it will work

Don't know if this is the right place to post this question so feel free to move this post to a more appropriate part of the forum if this is the wrong place

I'm interested as well.  It looks nice.  I'm using an NC-Star with my Kadet kit, but this looks better for 9mm.  Where did you catch a picture of it on an SP-01?

Keep in mind the slide is going to move back at least the length of the brass case before the case starts to eject, and the scope mount will remain stationary. On the Sig photo, you can see the front of the extractor and the back of the barrel and you know the extreme front-most part of the case can't eject forwards of there... and it's already behind the mount.

Since the SP-01 is even longer than that Sig you'll probably have even more clearance and maybe an extra notch or two on the rail to choose from. I guess you could always flip that mount around so it angled forwards instead of backwards if you wanted to :p

Very nice, but how does it shoot? How does it measure up to open category raceguns with comps?

Just a guess, but that will be a nightmare trying to zero and maintain a zero. There is slow motion footage of this mount on a Glock on youtube, and you can see the whole mount flex, twist and bend an amazing amount during firing. There is a reason that the racegun scope mounts are made of high quality metal and screwed to the frame. Best of luck.

Well I have been extrmley busy at work and in my free time so minimal range time and I have barely had time to zero it in, but as soon as my holiday start I will have time to test it out.

As for keeping it zeroed in I think that it depends on the quality of the sights, but do you have a link to the video?

It looks pretty stable. Maybe something to be tried. I just would like to see someone using it and ask few more questions, but it looks like it has potential. There has to be more info/videos out there. I didn't see the slow motion one that was referred before by derweibhai. Maybe he/she could get the link for us to see. I'm certainly interested in seeing it.

I cant seem to find it, but it was a video clip of the polymer Fab defense mount if I remember correctly. I saw it a few weeks ago, but I spend so much time online that I have no idea where it was.
