Another 75B
« on: May 31, 2011, 01:29:04 PM »
I just scored another CZ 75B at a local pawn shop.  Polycoat, no box, one factory mag, one 33 round mag. All the numbers match and the bore is clean and bright. The trigger breaks SA at just under 5lb. and DA just under 10lb. I traded a Taurus PT111 Millennium Pro plus some cash. This one might go out to CZ Custom for some upgrades.

Tanstaafl:  See! Heinlien wasn't always right.  There can be a "free lunch".  Nice score on the mag.

Keep us updated on your mods.

I plan to keep one stock, except for grips, and the other will get mods. The first one's factory test target showed an 1.25 inch group at 25m.  I hope this one can come close, not that I am capable of that type of group offhand.

It's hard to believe that someone of rid of this piece. Today I put just short of 300 rounds through it, all handloads. 115, 124 and 147's in lead, plated, Precision black poly, and jacketed.  The only failure of any kind was a long-loaded 147 truncated cone that had some shavings stuck to on the side.  I knew it wouldn't feed, but tried it anyway.  It shoots point-of-aim with tight groups.  Sorry, no pics; I'll try to remember the camera next time.

The previous owner was either hard up for cash or was some fool that thought he needed something like a Glock.

My son was trying out a new Ruger SR9C today. What a sweet-shooting little pistol.
