Hey all, Im new to this bb and to the CZ's in general. I was looking for a good 40sw type pistol and found my way to the CZ world. I just purchased my pistol...actually I traded my Ruger P-89 and a bit of cash for a new CZ100 with two mags and all it comes with. Hope it turns out to be a good deal for me. I haven't even shot it yet, but am looking for the best type of ammo for target shooting and home defense. I posted on the ammo board for info on the best rounds to purchase...Cya  Semer Fi

nutzo1, sorry it has taken so long for you to get a response, I guess most of us are 'offline' due to the holidays.  Welcome to the board.  I'm sure you'll enjoy your new CZ 100.  Be sure to post a range report when you get a chance to fire it, and if you have any questions, feel free- there's some knowledgeable folks hanging around here.

Later,
Hydrilla

Hydrilla, thanks for the reply. I figured it being the holidays and all was the reason for the slow reply. I was sitting at working surfing when I found this great BB......I was starting to worry though about not getting a reply. I started to smell under my arms, thinking it was me...ha. Hydrilla, do you have any preference for ammo? Home defense and target? I was thinking Cor-bin type for home. Thanks again. Semper Fi

Velcome, Velcome..to the forum.  The 100 has never had a problem with liking one ammo more than another.  Target ammo in 40 can be spendy...check out what is around locally, buy some and see how it shoots.  If you get different FMJ's you can see how they shoot and break in your gun..S&B and Lawman worked Beautifully in my 40!  S&B has a real wallop to it also.  For a defensive load...I carried 165 gr Gold Dots.  The
180's are like a "flying ashtray"..but 165 were a little more accurate and more energy.  There are alot of good DEF loads out there...see whats available and try it.  Corbon is good ammo...I have found it to be more expensive, harder to find and less accurate than other ammo.
Remember there is no such thing as +P 40 ammo, standard case pressure is as hot as you want to go...K?
Shoot well

As I have yet to shoot my CZ100 what do you guys think of the DAO? My Ruger was double action on first shot then the others where single. I really didn't give it much thought when I bought the CZ.

The long DAO is the PNLY drawback to the CZ-100 design..relible, accurate and
light..cost effective..it was designed to be a Police issue gun..in a countrywhere
mos cops have never even held a pistol.

Note that is still serves as police issue in CZR. The guns sells well in other countries,
where shooters are not 1911 crazy or 1911s sells for alot more money..as do Glocks.

The well respected CZ reputation and attractive price, light carry weight..take preference over
a 'mimdset' concerning the DAO trigger.

In an actual engagement, you will never remmember pulling the trigger..on any gun.

CZ-100.COm and this place are THE only sources for CZ100 info on the net that i know of.

Most people either really Luv the M100, or really hate it.
