The only gun I ever sold that I wish I had back.  Tough to find for decent price and was offered $600 so I couldn't pass it by.  It was like new with Walnut grips and was my granddaughters favorite gun until she hit 15 when she started shooting my 75B's.  She is 17 now so it's been gone about 2 years.

Why use 911 when it's faster to use 1911 or 9mm?

Bought one for my wife ,she absolutely loves it and every one else in the family shoots it . I am actually thinking about getting another one while I can still get a used one cheap. I found hers new in a local gun new, they could not sell it, walked out the door with it for $329 new with 2 mags, have never regretted that purchase. Right now there are used ones out there, from $239 to $269. I think will also pick up some more model 82's and maybe a 380 acp 83 to round out the collection. It's a great pistol platform.

Well, I did it, I ordered and paid for a CZ 83 in .32 ACP.  Should have it by early next week.  Pictures when I do.  I have another question.  Are the .32 ACP magazines dimensionally different than the .380/9X18 magazines?  I am asking regards magazine pouch fit.

Internally different externally the same.  CZ83 in 380 and CZ82 in mac are the same mag. CZ83 in .32 is it's own mag - lips are considerably different.

Can you put the .32 barrel/mag in a CZ82?

I think there would be an issue with the extractor and maybe the breech face were you to try and make it work.  I do not, specifically know the answer to your question.  Slide weight may be different too.

Has anyone purchased any of the used ones available?

http://www.gunsamerica.com/Search.aspx?T=CZ 83

The pictures make them look pretty good and I always liked the pistol.
The $269 for a used one is a lot less than the $400 for a new one.

If you are talking about Robertsons Trading they have decent stuff and they are great to deal with, I have also bought some very rough looking stuff from them on purpose because I refinish firearms and I have ended up with some exceptional shooters for cheap. I also buy surplus firearms from J & G 's and SOG also good companies to deal with. Just got a nice yugo md 57 Tokarev in 7.62x25 mm from Sog and I also just got 2 Cz 52's. I will be posting before and after pics in the general firearms forum over the next couple of weeks. One Of the CZ 52's will be left stock the other will get novak sights and some other mods.

Their guns are decent BUT only have one mag and the mags are over $40.

Well, I am now the proud owner of a brand new CZ83 in 7.65.  What a beautiful pistol.  I will test fire it this weekend.

Regarding the used ones at Robertson's Trading Post. They all appear to be circa 1992 in various conditions. Is there a particular reason why I would or wouldn't want to pay more for a new 2011 build?
