Hiya, didnt want to start a new topic, since this one is appropriate, its just that I've been a lurker verses poster in the past year of being a happy CZ owner. Wanted to share my personal experience and opinion with this product, if it may help someone considering one in the future. Not much on the net I found useful, and prolly could have used more advice before becoming an owner. In the months before buying the slide racker, base and CTS, I put an inexpensive tru glo red dot on a HK pistol, and liked some of the features. Multiple reticules to choose from, combined with 10 brightness settings, and option for red verses green dot, really made practice fun. The big down side was having to rezero with each outing no matter how secure the sight was or how well padded the gun was between range visits. I knew I'd have ta step up $$$ if I didnt want to rezero each time out.
Doing my supposed research decided that the C-more 7.5moa would be perfect for my shadow. And as a recent Tactical sports owner the Shadow collected dust alot, so I hope the red dot could make the Shadow as accurate as I was with the TS. Rob, and Stuart at CZ custom helped me get what I asked for. Remember; be careful what ya wish for. The rackers color wasnt appealing to me, and considered polycoating it black as I did with the factory trigger.
And with the C-more on top of it...Oreo cookie comes ta mind
The racker can cause a lil excitment when bringing the hammer down on a loaded chamber as far as it protrudes. For me on an indoor range, the first outing realized the 7.5moa is to large, Rob, as he always does took care of the customer and like magic I was sighting down with the 3.5moa. The C-more has an auto adjust setting, which, for me is still too bright, and a super nova setting, which I imagine is solely for outdoor use. Unless you are using a rest the lil red dot dances a bit, especially with that first double action shot. So the guys at CZ custom did a lil more of there magic and
the Shadow is SAO, unfortunately for me I was going thru this process before I had any idea the short reset trigger was around the corner in a few months. I assumed that its action would be similar to the Tactical sports....NOT. Stuart did help me out with the sticky reset. A few months ago, when the short reset was introduced, the shadow and C-more made it out to the range, as I considered a new project for the Shadow, the red loc tight that helps hold the racker in kinda disintegrated. I was glad I didnt have a new tattoo or piercing in my forehead, and looking at the racker halfway out the dovetail it spoke to me.....give me back my factory iron, so I did. Here she is wearing her Kadet kit, with a matching green FO front sight.
the HK.22 clone's red dot remains and its a fun pistol to shoot, in spite of having to rezero each outing
be well
