Need to borrow a trigger return spring!
« on: October 17, 2005, 06:11:42 PM »
I am on a mission. I want a trigger return spring which will lessen the trigger pull on the CZ100. There is a spring company near me (I have not contacted them yet), which will make custom springs. I need a trigger return spring for them to use as a guide. I would like to have several made using wire of different thickness. My goal is the lightest spring which will function 100%. The only spring I have is in my carry pistol, so we ain't going there. Option 2 is buying one from CZ-USA. Could be pricey with their shipping. I would really like to borrow one from someone who maybe has a spare? If no one has one I guess I will go to plan one and disassemble my 100. That means I would have to carry a Glock. Oh, the shame. I will have to wear a bag over my head. PLEASE help! PLEASE!

Mike:

I'd be willing to send my return spring, if I knew how to take it out!  It appears that there is little or no interest from anyone in buying my CZ 100 so I'd sure like to make it function better.

As far as CZ USA shipping goes, when I ordered the fixed sight for my 100 they sent it without shipping charges at all!

I just wish I could make the DA trigger on my 100 function as smoothly and as easily and as short as the DA trigger on my CZ 97!

Thanks for the offer, but I got tired of waiting so I disassembled my spare 100. I have the trigger return spring out. I am going to call a local custom spring manufacturer. Hopefully they will have something useable in stock or at least in their computer. It may take a while as they are in Wylder, Kentucky and I don't get down there all that often.

I will keep everyone up to date. It may be a waste of time but I'm going for it anyway.

As to your second comment, I don't think we can change the length of the pull, but you can certainly make the pull as smooth as any double action revolver, maybe better. I have worked on my carry 100 and will put it up against any revolver I have ever owned. It is incredibly smooth with absolutely no stacking. There is no mystery to doing it, just some thought and polishing. Actually a lot of polishing.

Good shooting,

Mike
