I thought the same thing.  The set from Grips4u are the ones on my list.  Soon.

Yes, I just bought them.  I hadn't even checked their website...Oh well, worked out to be the same price anyway with the screws.  Price shipped was $79.75, so maybe he just raised his price.

If you don't include the screws, the price worked out to about $10 more than Grips4U price (with shipping factored in).  I don't care for the angle of the checkering border at the lower front on the Grips4U set...minor as it is, for me it was worth the extra few bucks for something that was more aesthetically pleasing to my eye.  I wanted a Marchall set, but I opted to support the home team, and have a much shorter wait time.  YMMV.  :)

Just wanted to let everyone know the Vintage grips are good quality, and the guy was a pleasure to deal with.

Good point about the inclusion of the screws.  Now that said, is there an advantage to getting the screws over using the original screws on the original grips?

It's hard to really judge color of somethings through photos on line.  The color on yours looks good.  In real life, looking at them, and not the pictures, how would you compare it to the color of the actual grip to what you see if you're looking at the on line pictures from the suppliers, both Grips4U and Vintage?  Yours look a little darker than the Grips4U set and that's a plus.  If it really is darker.  The pictures on the Grips4U shown off the gun look lighter.  Their picture on the gun looks darker.  Go figure.

Otter, I have another question.  The SHE number on your 82.  What is it?  The reason I asked (just curious) the mag. release button pattern is different from most others I've seen.  Mine is 88 and just wondering if yours is a later or earlier model.  Again, just curious.   :)

Dan, if I remember correctly, there are a few differences in the CZ82s.  The 87 and before have the beveled mag release button, a solid slide release spring retaining pin (and a slightly different spring) different sear/disconnector pins and a different safety (they look the same but are cut differently underneath to work with the different sear/disconnector pins).  The 88 and newer guns have the non-beveled mag release buttons, a roll pin to retain the slide release spring and the different sear/disconnector pins.  And the 2 versions also have different main spring plugs/lanyard loops and different hammer levers.  I think that is it for the differences.

Mine's an 86, but I had to replace the mag release about a year or so ago due to wear. It now has the round kind. I don't even recall what the original looked like, but I saved it for some reason. Now that y'all have me all curious, I'll try to dig it out this evening to see which it had.

This one is an '87.  I have a '90 also and that shows the differences that jcrntx mentioned, plus some.  I'll have to look more closely at my lanyard loop...I don't recall seeing an obvious difference.  Although I recall something about one style is aluminum and one is steel, maybe?  I've also seen some with what looks to be a 3rd style of mag release.  It's chekered, not serrated...but I guess it's possible somebody did that themselves.  In my spare time, I've been trying to collect photos of the different model years and find differences, etc., and do a little historical research.

Back to the grips ;D...Mine look pretty much like the pic that Vinatge used, from a color perspective...more brown, not orange.  The close-up pics I posted look a little more orange than they actually are.  They are nice darker walnut brown more like the "full gun" pics I posted.

By the way, Vintage also offers repro plastic grips, and can do them in different colors or an additiona charge.  They list them as 1985 and 1990 styles, so there must be some differences there as well.
