Good quality equipments is a good start.  These pics were taken with a Nikon D700 with a Nikkor 85/1.8 lens.  Also, a steady hand will help especially at low shutter speeds.

Man I just spent another 5 min looking at this shot.  Changed the zoom up to 400% and had no distortion at all.  This is an awesome shot.  You should enter it in a contest or something, true art.

I used the same camera and lens for this shot.  Except that this time, it was tripod mounted.  I will redo this shot when I find some time.  When you blow it up, some lints are visible.

Nice lighting and no glare is hard to do when photographing handguns, Awsome photos and nice CZs. I shoot with the D700 also, I love that camera.
