Cool man. Glad you made this topic. I see from one of the photos that it is indeed a '75 year gun. The first I've seen yet. So do you live in the U.S.? What country did you find it in. I mean, it seems so unlikely to find one of the first year guns new in box in such great shape. I thought mine was rare!

Again, I must say, what an awesome find. I'd love to hear more details on how you came across it and any history behind it. Interesting to note that yours has a blued trigger whereas mine is polished stainless. The blued trigger must have been exclusive to the really early pistols.

Oh any by the way, welcome to the forum. ;)

I live in Belgium.
The gun came from a shop what went broke.
The guy who took the inventory found several cz's on a forgotten shelf.
A CZ70,75,85,97 and 2 83's one in .32acp (first run 1983 number 638, got that one too  ;D)and one in .380.
85 and 97 where taken already. the VC 70 i already have.

The only thing I don't like is the reddisch colour on the slide release

That's another funny thing. Mine has a reddish colored safety and a normal slide stop. Yours is the other way around. Not sure if that's because of the type of metal or what. I've seen a lot of Makarov's with safetys and hammers like that. Maybe someone else could chime in and explain what that's about.

A long time ago, Caspian 1911 parts would take a purplish tint when blued. It was said it had something to do with the heat treat and the length of time the parts were in the bluing salts.

just a WAG.

That is a very rare find - and a beautiful gun.  Congratulations, you got your self something really neat and historical there.   Not sure what's up with the red slide release - blueing batch that went bad during early production?

I would love to have it but I'm in the U.S. and I don't have the kind of money to give you what it's worth.  :'(

Robinjo,
That's beautiful! I too normally don't like safe queens, especially CZ's, but this 75 should be one. Here we tend to agree CZ aren't very collectable as far as investments, this one seems to be the exception. If it's for sale you should list it on an auction site. Thanks for sharing.

I would buy it, but the paperwork and expense to import it to America would probably be prohibitively expensive.  Were that gun to sell around here, it would probably sell for upward of $1,000 to somebody who knew what they were looking at.

Beautiful gun though!
