No more Glocks for me.
« on: November 06, 2011, 09:55:38 AM »
Just put my first 50 rounds through my CZ 75B, and wow.  I used to own Glocks, and I will never go back to them again.  The CZ was such an excellent shooter with almost zero recoil, even using cheap Blazers.  I have to say, I am super impressed with it, and I think I might actually try to keep it around for a while.

I did have one concern however.  The ejector tends to send the shells backwards, I had a few hit me in the forehead, and my girlfriend was having a LOT of trouble with them coming straight backwards (she had one go down her shirt, which brought on a funny dance).  Is this a problem with the extractor or me?

welcome,

the brass in the face or down the shirt can be an extractor/spring, ammo or limp wristing issue.

dont know why you would dump the Glock.  They are good guns and they can do the job.

glad youre happy with your CZ.  just wait until your first hic cup and see how you feel then and remember your first post.

Every gun has a hiccup.  It's certainly not isolated to CZ's.

Ditto on the Glock.  Once I picked up a CZ, my Glock was relegated to home defense.  I love my Glock, it never fails to fire, but my CZ SP01 Shadow absolutely shoots rings around it.

Mine was a Gen3 22, sold it for 400 cash at Knob Creek and bought the CZ for 400 even in the shop.  The 22 was a bit snappier than I liked, and the CZ just points at the target better.  I always shot down and to the left on the Glock, which was mostly due to my distaste for the trigger, I think.

I've owned a lot of Glocks over the years (a lot), bought a CZ 75B recently. The steel feels good in the hand and it shoots straight. Love it.

I have had more malfunctions with squeeky clean and well lubed Glocks than with dirty CZ's and no I am not limp wristing the guns. I always got the bottom of my trigger finger pinched by the trigger upon recoil and that dang hump on the back of the grip always caused my sights to be pulled off to the right when I gripped the gun. The only handgun that I shoot worse than a Glock is a Beretta 92. Love the CZ's and 1911's  and have won many a competition using those 2 platforms. I just think that they are better designs, but I suppose if you need the ultimate in light weight the Glock would be the way to go. If I had to bet my life on a gun, and I do daily as a LEO I am going to bet on the CZ to go bang every time. It makes a better club when you run out of ammo as well  ;D.

My CZ75B is one of my favourite guns, it's the one I seem to reach for first.

I had my two stepsons out to the range this past weekend along with my P 01, 75B and XDm C. One preferred the XDm and one the P 01. We all agreed the 75 B had the best balance and feel. One went as far to say, "Melt in your hands feel." I agree.

Nothing feels like steel!

100% agreed Rusted.  I had a buddy who was obsessed about the weight of the handgun when he was shopping for one.  For some reason he had it in his head that he wouldn't feel comfortable lifting a heavier firearm at the range  ::)  That all changed when he shot my SP-01 Shadow for the first time, haha.
