My most recent CZ
« on: November 24, 2011, 02:08:11 PM »
Just picked this up the other day.  Manufactured in 1944.  CZ27, 7.65 (.32 ACP)  Note rough finish on slide and frame.  Later war guns were not as finely finished due to the dire need for weapons.  Another interesting late war characteristic is the omission of the CZ logo on the grip.  Why one wonders?  There is a story that says the CZ was melted as a result of Heydrichs assassination.  True?  Don't know, but it makes a good story...

Nice find.  I'd like a 32 acp made by CZ.  So were those made for Nazis?

Yes, this pistol shows NAZI acceptance stamps, called Waffenampts.

Here is an, albeit a bit fuzzy, example of a waffenampt on my CZ27.

Ok, that is slick. And exceptional find.

I've lusted after a .32 CZ for a while. That model 27 or a model 50 will do.

Very interesting variation and very nice condition.  Is it the phosphate version, or is there still bluing?

I have a ratty looking "shooter" with a serial number in the 88XXX range.  The grips are black and the logo is melted (ground?) out as well.  Even in the less than ideal condition, its one of my favorite shooting pistols, even with the poor sight picture.

It is blued, over a rough finish.  Phosphate started around serial number 400,000.  Mine is from early 1944.
