Rear Peep Sight for the VZ58 available??

We all know Krebs has the rear peep sight for the AK (which IMO, makes a world of difference)
As I contemplate getting a new VZ58 I'm wondering....is this an option for this particular rifle??

 don't know if they still have them but I got a rear peep sight from czechpoint. Sure made it a better rifle for my tiring eyes.

Yeah, they have made them but they are scarce right now.  I would be all over one if someone had one for sale (even used if anyone has one).  You could try Rauch tactical in Canada, they might still have some. 

I am a little scared of what the shipping might be but I am totally ignorant so it might not be so bad.  The VZ's rear sight aperture seems much narrower than the AK's!

 Put some sort of hi-viz paint on your front sight post as well, that helps...

Mind posting a pic of that so we can see it mounted and what it looks like?  It would be very much appreciated.

I just looked and they don't seem to carry it any more. It just replaced the rear elevation blade but had a peep hole instead of a blade notch. I will try to post a pic this weekend.

I asked Dan at CzechPoint and he told me they will sell them as soon as North Eastern Arms starts manufacturing them once again. Right now their priority is the AR15 sights.

Just placed my order for a Vz58 Sa Military from CzechPoint!!! And two extra refinished mags!! ;D I'm in!!

I would like one that could be attached to the Rear Receiver Cover or Frame as is done on some AK Rear Peep Sights.  Perhaps I will have to come up with my own setup when I get a VZ58.

You know, the stock screw/stock plate would be a great place to implement a true peep sight (ie one right next to your eye, not in the original rear sight tang.

That big bolt that holds the stock in, I bet it holds well enough that if you made some sort of adapter to fit a stock AND happen to have a peep rear sight on it, it would hold zero.  Granted it would be tough to take apart, and if you switch stocks youd probably lose zero.

Have thought of something like that, like a Tang Mounted Peep Sight, the way they used to use for Lever Action Rifles for my AKM or a VZ58.

Also, the Tech Sights SKS or Ruger 10/22 Rear Peep Sights might also be adapted for use on a VZ58.
