P07 captured recoil spring?
« on: December 18, 2011, 11:23:30 PM »
Have they recently changed the recoil spring on the P07.  I had sent mine in for the mag drop and trigger issue and they sent me a brand new gun with a captured recoil spring.  My old one did not have that.  So far mags drop every time.  Going to put a few hundred rounds next week so will know more then.  Just wondering if that is new...

Mine was sent in for the same reasons. Just got it back today. The pistol was replaced with a new one. Sadly, no captured recoil spring. Hopefully they will make one available soon.

Yeah mine has the captured recoil spring as well. Kind of a bummer because I have the polished guide rod. But o well.

If any of you guys can post a pic of the captured recoil spring from your P07 that would be cool. Mine has a non-captured spring and I'm just interested in what that might look like.

Well son of a gun. (pardon the pun)

That's pretty cool. Saves a little time when field stripping and cleaning.

Any idea how it affects shooting? Any noticeable difference at all?

you can always buy a spare recoil spring and still use the polished guide rod.   ;)
guns don't kill people. NINJAS kill people.

You could trade your captured recoils spring assembly for a standard one as well...I got first dibs on that!! ;)
