What is so neat about your CZ rimfire rifle?
« on: January 07, 2012, 12:41:55 PM »
I love the balance point of my 452  LH, .22LR American for off hand shooting.  The light weight with scope does not fatigue me.

I agree. Very light handling rifle. Mine is the  Varmint model. I put a 10x Leupold scope on it because I had it handy and as large as it is, the rifle is still light. I also like the classic lines. Definitely a good quality piece for a reasonable price. Had I a son, it could be a first rifle that he never out grows.

My Varmint is as easy to shoot off hand as my American.  But, packing around is a different story......

I bought a CZ 453 American in .22LR, and I absolutely love it. I put a Zeiss 3-9x40 on it (pulled from a gun I sold), and the two together form a sweet package. Handy, light, and best of all, accurate. If I was down in the dumps, it would be the last gun that I would sell.

I have been thinking about adding a 22WMR varmint to the herd.  That might be as much fun as the 22 varmint. ;D

My youngest daughter shoots a Scout, my oldest shoots a Silouhette (use to be mine :'(), I have a Trainer setup like my
hunting rifle and an American in 17HM2 and they all use the same mag! That means when I go by myself I got lots of mags - love that.

I used to shoot my .22WMR Lux a lot and it was the best off hand shooter I've owned.
Now I shoot my Scout a lot more, it points like a wand and is superbly accurate, even with just the open sights. The short stock works well with winter clothing as well.

+1

Fit, finish, craftmanship, and accuracy offered at a price point that is still one of the best deals going.
