skorpion made into a rifle
« on: January 30, 2012, 09:25:17 PM »
Has anyone made a Skorpion into a rifle?  I was thinking of either having a 16 inch barrel made or having a silencer peramently attached to make the barrel 16 inches.  That would allow me to add the shoulder stock.

I don't think you can find a 16 inch barrel for this you will probably have to permanently install the suppressor.

Check with Mike Jetis at the Weaponsguild.com he or someone there can make you a 16" barrel,
permanently attaching a suppressor will create it's own can of worms in the furture when you need to rebuild or repair the suppressor.

Ideally you would get a custom barrel made, but that is not going to be cheap. A cheaper option would be a custom made extension that is permanently attached, I'm sure this guy could help you out:

An even cheaper way would be using a demilled barrel cut to whatever length you need and permanently attached. You could do this yourself as long as you could thread straight. Here is a cheap demilled barrel, should have a large enough bore to keep bullets from hitting it, but I'm no expert,

I would consider form 1ing a 10" suppressor, at like a 650 diameter or so. Perm attach it and voila, quiet lil Czech terror

Not sure I would sink the money a suppressor costs into an older Skorpion.  If we start getting the EVO3's here in the states, then sure - I'd be all in.  But the older ones?  A toy at best, but not worthy of an expensive project (my humble opinion).

just pay and get the tax stamp for the wire flip stock. its 200.00 but at the same time you can apply to add a suppressor which would be 200 alone, either way you are legally covered.

I decided to change state law.  Took a few years but finally made it happen!  After testifying before the house and senate committees, the form 1 is in the mail.
